Daily students have to go to our
allotment where they weed and water the plants.
Bad weather caused our plants looked like they had vanished. Small
sprouts were still seen but so fragile that we were afraid they would
not grow.
Nevertheless, we did not surrender and continued our plans. First, we
fenced our ‘estate’ so that deer and other animals could not eat or
tread down the plants. |

Runner beans were so weak that we had to
provide a support for them. In the end, we decided to use a fish net.
And it was not an easy task. Boys really did their best.
The poles were so thick that the holes
had to be dug.
Boys were really tired after the activity. |

Students are preparing the supporting net for the beans.
|
Once, the fence and the support were
there, the further development depended on scrupulous students whose
duty was to weed and water the plants daily. They visited the allotment
every morning before lessons started and did all the vital work needed. |

At the end of the
month, first results were noticed. We became even more motivated. |
Beans row
The net for support and sawdust for marking the plant. |
Firm plants
Healthy plants give us hope for the crops |
Girls at work
Precise girls' hands are good for weeding.
|
Onions are out, too
Just for fun, we experimented and planted some onions as well.
They will be good for our bean salad. |
Pumpkins
Our pumpkin harvest will give us a litre or two of pumpkin oil.
But only seeds will also pay off our hard work. |
Sunflowers
Watching bright yellow flowers will be a real relaxation. |
Unity is strenght
When boys come together there has to be a result |
