The village of Fram is situated on the Southeast foot of the green mountain range Pohorje. |
15 kilometres away is Maribor, Slovenia’s second biggest city and European Capital of Culture in 2012. |

Education in the village started in the Napoleon era, but the foundation stone of the building was laid some 70 years later (in 1873). |

|
Today, 220 pupils attend the school. They
form 10 classes and achieve good results in various competitions and
sporting events. There are also two classes of Fram’s kindergarten. |
