In September we harvested our vegetables and prepared vegetable soup, potato pancakes and carrot cake.

Harvesting beans
Pull! How many did you collect?

Harvesting
The bean group harvested some runner beans for our soup.

Preparing the vegetables
We harvested carrots, potatoes, runner beans, kale, broad beans, peas.
Mrs Jarvis showed us how to clean and cut the vegetables.

We decided the quantities of vegetables and just added some water.
 

Cooking
Put all the vegetables in a pan and boil!

Cheese pancake

Sieving potatoes
Press the boiled potatoes through the sieve.

Mixing pancakes
Add the egg, milk and flour to the potato mixture.

Pour the mixture in a hot pan, cook until brown
 

Grating cheese
Grate some Welsh Cheese to put on top of our Barker's Lane Potato pancakes.
