In
February 2009 we started our school garden. At first it didn't look like
much – just a dry plot of land with lots of little stones and weeds. But
by the month of June it was full of tall plants that gave a surprising
amount of fruits and vegetables. We grew potatoes, onions, tomatoes,
peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, strawberries, watermelons, and of course,
runner beans!
Before we started, there was nothing but a dry plot of land, some
markers and a scarecrow. |
