Frittelle di riso - Rice fritters
 

Ingredients

2 l milk
I kg rice
1 l water
2 lemons
1 cup of flour
1 glass of rum
Raisins
Vanilla
Baking powder
Salt
800 g sugar
6 eggs
6 yolks
Seeds oil

Method
Boil the rice with water, milk, salt and the grated peel of lemon.
In the middle of time cooking, add sugar and cook mixing, until you have a quite solid mixture. Let it became cold.
Add the eggs and the yolks, the rum, the vanilla, the flour, the raisins and the baking powder.
Fry the mixture in abundant hot oil, pouring with a spoon: one spoonful for each fritter.

Zeppole di San Giuseppe

Ingredients
500 g flour
1 cube of yeast
2 boiled potatoes
2 eggs
1 glass of milk
2 spoons of sugar
50 g butter
vanilla
1 pinch of salt
Seeds oil

Methods
Mix the ingredients, make some doughnuts and let them rise.
Fry in abundant hot oil and roll in the sugar.
